Wisconsin/Illinois

SisterPatrice

On our way to Illinois we stopped in so I could visit with Sister Patrice, in Wauwatosa WI (basically a suburb of Milwaukee) who is my boss/coworker/friend in the Second Life project I am involved in with Virtual Ability.

We had a marvellous dinner and a nice visit with her at her residence along with the two sisters she’s shares the home with. We were allowed to boondock in the St. Pius X parish- back parking lot which was a short walk away. It was a wonderful neighbourhood reminding me very much of River Heights in Winnipeg. And of course free overnight parking is always a bonus.

We then left for Champaign Illinois. That was a very nice trip through corn fields and horse country. We took Highway 47 south which goes straight south and skims at the edge of suburbs of Chicago. We could often see new development with fancy suburban houses and rows of townhouses in the distance. It was still mostly farmland though. The pictures are Dick’s from the trip.
